The Yemeni Army’s Republican Guard Forces and the Houthis launched a wide-scale attack on the city of Al-Khawba in the Jizan Region of southern Saudi Arabia, seizing all military posts under the control of the Saudi Royal Army on Monday.
The Saudi Royal Army attempted to send reinforcements in order to forestall the Yemeni Forces from advancing further into Al-Khawba; however, the latter repelled all of the Saudi-led Coalition’s attempts to reclaim the territory they lost over the last 24 hours.
Attempting to interfere with the Yemeni Army’s progress, the Saudi Air Force launched a number of airstrikes near Al-Khawba, hitting some enemy targets and their own allies in the process.
